Wayward are we, by name and by nature, travelling people of the road. Musicians who will play for all who will pay us in food, drink or clothing.
Following in the footsteps of the Goliards, Troubadors, Trouvères and Minnesingers, we sing of unrequited love, the pleasures of wine & food, and of travels in foreign lands. The pieces in this collection in turn praise beauty,God & wine, and mourn loss of love, loyalty and liberty.
No matter what hardships we might encounter, how long and hard the winter, there is always hope for the wheel to turn, the next spring, for the next generous host to take in wayward travellers - to supply us with food and warm fire, where we can raise a toast with a fine wine, quicken hearts with our songs and fill halls with our music.
Thus while the time is given, celebrate the feasts as they fall, as all things will pass.
